Anything to make this error message go away.Įdited by ramonv, 10 January 2010 - 01:14 AM. If you fail to get it, then the Flash Player is not installed. Heres how you can determine the existence and version of the Flash Player ActiveX control (Flash Player for IE): Try obtaining the System.Type object corresponding to the ShockwaveFlash.ShockwaveFlash ProgID. If someone thinks it will help, I will try installing that. Looks like Flash Player uses another installation service.
#Cannot install flash player 32 xa windows 7
I have a Windows 7 disc, but I doubt if installing that will solve the problem, since the problem is apparently with the 64-bit OS. It would have been nice if they told us that when we began installing it. I have read that Adobe Flash Player is not compatible w/ 64-bit computers. Nothing gets rid of this error message which makes the laptop hang up big time. Getting to the Adobe site is difficult, because they apparently use Flash on the site, which causes this error message to appear (or maybe it just appears at random, every few minutes). Searching for the helper, so we could remove it (no luck finding it). Simply uninstalling every Adobe item except for Adobe reader. Uninstalling it, and opening the 32-bit MSIE browser. Uninstalling Flash Player and reinstalling it. Now we have no working flash player, and we are constantly get this pop-up error message: "Adobe Flash Player Helper 10.0 r32 has stopped working," which pretty much brings our laptop to a halt. Since I already have flash player installed, which works fine in IE, how do I fix this problem Thank you. It's asking to manually install the Plug-in and, after I click the icon, it doesn't install. I downloaded Firefox and imported everything over, but Adobe Flash Player is not on Firefox. We recently downloaded Adobe Flash Player 10. I was using Internet Explorer 9 as my default browser. We have a fairly new HP laptop with 64-bit Windows Vista.
